“Mzvee is still a dancehall artist” – Kay Wusu

mzvee__Ghanaian highlife musician and MaddHaus Entertainment act, Kay Wusu has budged to the defense of sensational female musician, MzVee after the ‘natural girl’ singer’s spot in the dancehall fraternity was strongly challenged by some industry critics. Kay Wusu in a quick rebuttal posited that, even though MzVee is very talented and can do different styles of music like afro beat, pop, hip-life et al, what she is specifically known for is as a prolific dancehall singer with proven track record.
Screen Shot 2016-04-07 at 20.07.24He opined that the multiple award winning/BET nominated singer should rather be celebrated for vigorously whirling through that path and excelling in a genre that’s mostly male dominated. “She has so many trending dancehall songs; besides that she has featured almost all the dancehall heavyweights including Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy” – he said. Kay Wusu speaking to Kelly Mensah, a feature writer at reiterated his suspicion that those making these pronouncements are doing so because of his recent highlife song, which featured MzVee.Screen Shot 2016-04-07 at 20.05.13“Singing highlife is not easy, and she did so well. But that doesn’t stop her from continuing with her style of music. She’s a versatile artist and that fact alone is remarkable about her.
