Australia-based Ghanaian Afrobeats star, Mike Akox, has dropped an emotion Afrobeats track titled “Sorry”.
The track is accompanied by a clean and simple music video. In the video, Mike is garbed in all white attire and gets emotional while performing the song at a sea shore.
Explaining why he titled the track “Sorry”, Mike Akox wrote to Thinkghmusic.com via email: “SORRY is about apologising for hurting someone. Not just to your significant other, but to the people you have the most that you have wronged.
I came up with this song while in the studio in Brisbane, Australia with my producer WYES. I told my producer why not write a song about a topic that people can relate to. WYES started playing some tunes on a guitar which I felt. I told he to lay down the track and within 15 minutes SORRY was born.
At the time, I didn’t think the song would make an impact until I played it to a woman who started to get emotional and cried because it was something she related to.”
