K-Dzika-“Walatuwalasa”

TGM-Who is K-Dzika and how did you get your beginning in the music industry?

K-Dzika-My Stage name is K-Dzika. I started doing music about 7 years ago now. But I was doing my recording underground since it was hard for me to officially step up in the industry.

TGM-Where do you come from?

K-Dzika- I come from Ghana in West Africa, Volta Region to be precise.

TGM-Tell me a little about you and your family?

K-Dzika-I come from a family of Mom, Dad, brother and two sisters. I didn’t actually grow up living with my family because they are based in a small village but I visit them sometimes.

TGM-Who is your inspiration and how do they inspire you?

K-Dzika-Many people inspired me in the music industry. Locally I will mention Sarkodie, Yaa Pono and others. But I got my inspiration from Sarkodie, because I love to rap and I like his style of rap, so I started rapping.

TGM-Any tips for future musicians trying to make it in today’s music industry?

K-Dzika-My tips for future musicians trying to make it in the music industry is that the world knows what good music is, and no one will need to be convince before liking your music if it’s good. So they should keep trying their best to do good music and that’s the only way they can get their way through. So what I am trying to say is that time is the main point for everyone.

TGM-What genre of music do you consider your music?

K-Dzika- I do Hip-Hop Music, Afro-Pop and Rap Music.

TGM-What does this song “Walatuwalasa” mean to you and why did you write it?

K-Dzika-I wrote this song based on the situations in my country and some communities. Young boys are to do a very hard work before getting their daily bread. So if you don’t go for it the you will go hungry. So its just like that that’s how the street boys survive.

TGM-What can we look forward to in the near future from you?

K-Dzika-In the near future, expect great music that will change the life of many people and will create big impact on the life of the youths on the street.

TGM-As a musician, how do you feel giving back to your community who support you is important?

K-Dzika-As a musician I think giving back to community is a great idea. If you listen to my song I spoke about how people have to suffer before getting their daily bread, so giving back to community serves as a dream come true to my song.

TGM-Where do you see yourself in the music industry in 5 years?

K-Dzika-5 years from now my dream is to break boundaries. I will work harder to set a level. I came to survive in this game so I will work hard to make it work. 5 years time I should be known everywhere and my music should change many lives.

TGM-Thank you for your time and we wish you all the best in your quest for success…God bless you always!~!
