J.formula-Wedding Day

TGM-Who is J.formula and how did you get your beginning in the music industry?

J.formula-J.formula is a very creative, humble, analytical and a bit controversial person.  I love music and will go as far to say I am a root of music because I have the talent.  I also like to watch movies and spending time with people.  I am also versatile when it comes to music as a career.

TGM-Where do you come from?

J.formula-I come from Ghana, West Africa and I reside at blue top estate, a suburb of Kasoa in the central region of Ghana.

TGM-Tell me a little about you and your family?

J.formula-I am from a family of 4 children, 3 boys and 1 girl.  I am the second child and the eldest of the boys.  Banking seems to be the profession in my family because my dad was a banker although he recently moved to the petroleum sector but my elder sister is still a banker.  We don’t usually meet as a family regularly because of work, school and other issues but we are all Christians and we really love each other so much.

TGM-Who is your inspiration and how do they inspire you?

J.formula-I really can’t say that there is any one person that inspires me for there are so many, because listening to music from any good artist is inspiring to me.  Ghanaian artistes like Obrafuor, Edem, Sarkodie, Efya Stone Byo and all other great musicians.  If you are speaking internationally then artistes like Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Jay Z and Beyoncé.

TGM-Any tips for future musicians trying to make it in today’s music industry?

J.formula-All I want to say is first of all God, hard work, composition of good music, believing in one’s self and determination are all what you need to make it in today’s music industry.

TGM-What genre of music do you consider your music?

J.formula-Hiplife, Hip Pop, Afro Pop

TGM-What does this song “Wedding Day” mean to you and why did you write it?

J.formula-“Wedding Day” simply means enjoying that special moment with the right person at the right time. I wrote this song to help married people to realize how special the ceremony was and still is as a couple and also encourage others to consider it soon.

TGM-What can we look forward to in the near future from you?

J.formula-You can look forward for remarkable songs and a solid legacy of my music career.

TGM-As a musician, how do you feel giving back to your community who support you is important?

J.formula-I feel so great about that and it will be something I will be doing often because my Bible teaches me so and it’s also a great legacy since no one lives forever.

TGM-Where do you see yourself in the music industry in 5 years?

J.formula-I see myself picking up numerous awards especially best rapper.  Also have a great fan base and followers across Africa, internationally and on top of all that to pick up a Grammy would be great.

TGM-Thank you for your time J.formula we wish you the best in your quest for success….God bless you always!~!
