Exclusive Interview with K.Lighte about Music, Dreams & Aspirations!~!

K.Lighte-“Black Dreams”

TGM-Who is K.Lighte and how did you get your beginning in the music industry?

K.Lighte-I am Martin Kwabena Opare stage name K.Lighte. I started music way back at age 7, I started with a free styling and singing people songs to everyone.

TGM-Where do you come from?

K.Lighte-I am from Ghana in Africa.

TGM-Tell me a little about you and your family?

K.Lighte-I am the eldest son of three siblings with another son younger than me and a daughter younger.

TGM-Who is your inspiration and how do they inspire you?

K.Lighte-Apart from God almighty who is my ultimate inspiration. I love listening to Hip Hop and R&B, and the artiste who also inspire me are 50cent, Akon, R. Kelly and Papa Shee from Ghana and Ofori Amponsah just to mention a few, listening to their songs has imparted on me as an human and also an artiste striving hard to be more than what these artiste have contributed to the music industry.

TGM-Any tips for future musicians trying to make it in today’s music industry?

K.Lighte-My advice to any musician is to pray, work hard and stay focused.

TGM-What genre of music do you consider your music?

K.Lighte-My genre of music is Rap and Hip Hop.

TGM-What does this song “Black Dreams” mean to you and why did you write it?

K.Lighte-“Black Dreams” name of my song is a special song it talks about what an upcoming artiste want and how to make it in the music world, the reason for writing this song was to send a message across for people to know what we going through is not easy but is going to be ok.

TGM-What can we look forward to in the near future from you?

K.Lighte-The world should expect the unexpected because I am striving for the best.

TGM-As a musician, how do you feel giving back to your community who support you is important?

K.Lighte-Giving back to the community will help to show what we are about and people that are special and unique shouldn’t look down upon themselves and will positively reinforce how people feel about each other.  I want to set up a record label to help push talented upcoming artistes to the top and help the people that cannot help themselves.

TGM-Where do you see yourself in the music industry in 5 years?

K.Lighte-In the next five years I see myself taken an award at the Grammy’s and the BETs and also doing great things for the world in general.
