American musician Chris Brown is set to perform in Ghana on Independence eve, March 5, enewsgh.com confirms. The event will be held at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium, also Known as the Accra Sports Stadium.
What more? Local mobile phone manufacturing giant Rlg, is sponsoring the event. The American act will be joined in concert by a tight local artiste base, in what the organizers say, will be an event of a lifetime.
It is however not clear if the 23 year-old will make an appearance in Ghana with his on-off girlfriend Rihanna.
A successful mainstream act, Brown got signed to Jive Records in 2004, and released his self-titled debut in 2005. He is a certified double platinum artiste, recognized by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
He’s had 5 successful albums, with a sixth one, Cape Diem, set for release later this year. He’s won almost everything including a Grammy.
His Ghana date is a dream come true for his core fan base, who have staged an unrelenting call for him to stage a concert here.
