Blaize Deloliya aka OBD

ThinkGhMusic-Who is OBD and how did you get your beginning the in the music industry?

OBD-My name Ani Emmanuel popularly known as Oluwa_Bless_Deloliya aka OBD, I started my music career as a chorister in my church at a very young age.

ThinkGhMusic-Where do you come from?

OBD-I am from Uyo local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria.

ThinkGhMusic-Tell me a little about you and your family?

OBD-My family is blessed with 9 siblings, 6 boys and 3 girls who are all still alive, very well and strong.

ThinkGhMusic-Who is your inspiration and how do they inspire you?

OBD-God is the source of my inspiration because without Him I am nothing, another is my Mum, 2face, Idibia, Drake and Mr. Eazi.  I love the simplicity of the kind of music they make and it is a source of inspiration for me to listen to the way they sing and execute their music.

ThinkGhMusic-Any tips for future musicians trying to make it in today’s music industry?

OBD-Hmmm well they call them “Upcoming Artistes” to me I call them “Awaiting Stars” all you need is to be hard working and consistent with your work methods.  Don’t try to be someone other than who you are, be original and come out with a concept for your music and be creative with it so that your fans will appreciate the hard work that you put into your craft and will be supportive.  When you make good music it will always standout and speak for itself no matter the delay of being able to get it out when you want just be yourself and do what is necessary for a good production.

Especially the one’s that are talented and trying to come up as you once did, not only in my community but through the world would like to see scholarships, talent shows and feature artistes through current jobs and programs that I may be able to start.
