AJ Nelson’s “FAITH” with Jay Gartey had paved way for the initiation of “Me Re Ngyai Mu (Won’t Give Up), the latest release off his upcoming debut album, “SOUL FOOD”.
As “FAITH” made strong waves on Ghanaian and international platforms, AJ is hopeful that the soothing “Me Re Ngyai Mu ” does similar. “I did the song to inspire people especially to those who bothered themselves too much about what people say,” he said.
Featuring Ghana’s hottest sensation, Kesse, and produced by Genius Selections, “Me Re Ngyai Mu” purports to advice the listener to persevere in the midst of challenges. “This is basically saying that you can do it; keep pushing till you can’t no more”, AJ advices. He again said his composition stemmed from a “conversation I had with my mum few years back.”
The video is directed by Kilos (infocos) and, according to the BA Emcee, will be premiered soon.
AJ Nelson, real name, Agyei Nelson Yaw, is a Hiphop / Afro Pop artiste who has earned for himself the title “King of B/A.” Born and raised in Dormaa Ahenkro in the Brong Ahafo Region, he is currently the only rapper who fuses the Bono language with Ashanti twi. He is signed to Gh Brothers Entertainment and was introduced unto the music scene when he was featured on the welcome song by Ghanaian hip life musicians to the 44th president of the United States of America, Obama, during his visit to Ghana. His first single, off the “Soul Food” album is “same girl” featuring Quabena Maphia, released in September 2010. The second single titled “Faith” was released in 2012 followed by two new singles in August 2012 titled “Enemy” and “Me Ngyae Mu”, which features AJ Omo Alajah of Black Avenue Music & Jupita, and Kesse Baby, respectively.
“Soul Food” is set to release soon. The album features heavyweights like Jay Ghartey, Quabena Maphia, Kesse, Kodi, Stone of Bradez fame, Nii Soul, Lady Jaywah, Okyeame Kwame and Jay Smalls.
